Printing your photos

I found this on pinterest and have been wanting to do my own experiment with it.  This photographer printed the same image at 7 different places/labs.  One of them is a professional lab, another a semi pro lab, and the rest are easily accessed for anyone to print at.  Looks like she ordered them best to worst.  The lab I use isn't on here so I'd really like to compare and see which matches my lab the best.  The reason photographers prefer clients order prints through them is to ensure the prints match the image they see on the monitor.  Each monitor's colors are different and display images differently.  My monitor is calibrated to my labs printers so what I see on the monitor is what my prints will look like.  There will be no surprises, like blown highlights or magenta color cast, darker or lighter, etc.  If clients print at any lab available to them, i.e. Costco, there is no guarantee the prints are going to look like the digital image.  If you do however print images yourself, I'd recommend Mpix.com.
